With the agency Cyclos Design GmbH from Münster, KOESTER UND LUMMA took once more to sunny Cape Town where they shot new image photos for BLOMUS for the areas Pure Home and Pure Spa. Jutta Schnieders was the CD on set.
BLOMUS offers luxury products in the areas SPA, key or HOME. The origins of today's company go back to 1921. From the 60s to the 80s, the SKS Design manufactured decorative and practical products made of metal. In the first years of the new millennium, the portfolio was restructured to form the areas home, garden, spa, and taste. At this time, the products already had a unique, minimalistic and elegant design. With its relaunch in 2010, Blomus paved the way for a design-oriented future. Finally, the numerous design prizes they received over a short period of time prove that the creatives behind BLOMUS know their design. There are further motifs by KÖSTER & LUMMA for their customer BLOMUS on their site as well as a lifestyle sailing spread Summer Friends.

Photography duo Olaf Lumma & Christoph Köster, also known as Köster und Lumma, shot the new catalogue for the MS EUROPA 2. The Hapag Lloyd cruise ship fleet’s second flagship was officially christened on the Hamburg harbour anniversary in May 2013.
Köster und Lumma visited the dockyard in France beforehand, in order to capture the images for the main catalogue in the time it took to complete the crossing to Hamburg. Besides shooting the suite’s interiors, restaurants, spas etc., they also snapped people and food pictures for the company’s Internet presence and catalogue. Finally they went on a ride in the helicopter and took photographs of the Amsterdam harbour from an aerial perspective.
The ship’s route concept focuses on four regions: Western Mediterranean Sea, Eastern Mediterranean Sea, Arabian Peninsula and Asia, with shorter, predominantly 7-day trips for a maximum of 516 passengers. Many routes are offered at different times and dates and can be flexibly combined into longer, dreamlike stays on board.
Hapag Lloyd cruises commissioned BrawandRieken agency to book the photography team for this exciting job between luxury, hectic and seasickness; Anne Kotte c/o WE LOVE artbuying GmbH was in charge of art buying.
