Galerie Hilaneh von Kories, Hamburg : 05 – 09 Review

Missed an exhibition? Not any more, because with "05 – 09 Review", the Hilaneh von Kories Gallery, Hamburg presents a retrospective of the photographic work it has displayed over the past four years. The show will be open from 17 June until 6 August 2009.

In addition to pieces by GoSee member CORINNA HOLTHUSEN, "05 – 09 Review" also presents work by Thomas Bak, Loïc Bréard, Andreas Deffner, Arve Dinda, Herbert Dombrowski, Heike Ollertz, Sheila Rock, and Schilte & Portielje.

In large format portraits and body pictures, Corinna Holthusen presents complex critical reflections on the reality of the human image, and its depiction in photography. Her medium is digital photo montage. She transforms photographic images into digital data, then elaborately edits them on the computer, and then layers or combines additional data of other people, hence creating fictional, confusing new imagery.
