Wolf Tide by Corey Arnold –large-format pictures, currently on display at the Richard Heller Gallery in Santa Monica, California.

Corey studied at the Academy of Art in San Francisco and his choice of photography subject is not just coincidental. He has been working as a commercial fisherman in Alaska's primary fishing region himself for 15 seasons.

Hence, the photographer from Portland had enough time to study the allegedly meditative 'tranquillity' of 'nature' and its inevitable 'destructive' force  – and capture the spectacle on camera.
