Uli Funke - cam-tossing exhibition at the Paderborner Fototage photo festival with Jim Rakete, Calvin Hollywood, Katharina John and many more

‘cam-tosser’ Uli Funke will present a selection of his unusual camera toss photos at the First Paderborner Fototage photo festival. The exhibition opens on 5 June and will be held at the Welcome Hotel Paderborn. A total of 18 pictures will be on show, which have been realised since 2009.

Over 40 artists will present their work at the Paderborner Fototagen, including Jim Rakete from Berlin and Katharina John from Vienna.

Uli Funke has thrown his camera at various light sources since 2006 and takes the term of photography (drawing with light) literally. It all began with random light sources and small, old digital cameras.

The light sources are so selectively sourced today that the LCD-Monitor is often used. This enables specific colours and shapes to be used. An exhibition at the Marriott Berlin is planned for 2011.
