Preparing a meal for 60 guests might very well not be everybody's cup of tea, better yet – make it a three course menu, it takes a lot of ambition. But then, Philipp Jüngling seems to have plenty of this.
The head of the Tim Mälzer Deli Bullerei will be facing 50 hungry pair of eyes at the Rocky Ragazzo kitchen tournament on the 9th of December and is even okay with being judged for a potential place on the 'Wall of Fame'.
Usually, Allgäu-born gourmet only cooks on rare occasions, but his love of competition superseded his initial hesitation. He challenged the advertising team, comprised of directors at DDB and M.E.C.H., who opened the kitchen tournament in mid-November 2010. He hopes to – like all participants – leave the tournament as a crowned champion by 2011.
