Craigie Horsfield - Schering en inslag / Confluence and consequence. GoSee wishes you a happy new year with the artist's fireworks
Artist Craigie Horsfield (Cambridge, 1949, lives and works in London and New York) is renowned for his photographic work. His latest exhibition in Antwerp presents his less known works such as tapestries and sound installations.
Watching the interview with the artist on the museum’s website works wonders when it comes to understanding this impressive, yet haphazard exhibition.
A lot of the work has already been on display, other pieces, such as the firework carpets that take up a whole room, were explicitly made for the show.
The catalogue is only made of paper, but Craigie isn’t one of the artists you need to read a lot about. His imagery speaks its own, unmistakable and unusual language.
