Klaus Thymanns seductive wanderlust daydream, an exhibition at BBlessing, New York
Photographer and director Klaus Thymann and his work transport us to a magical world of almost archetypical frontier runners.
His photographs were created during his extensive travels for i-D magazine, with Adam Howe, the magazine’s fashion editor, by his side.
From Norway, via Brazil to California; bizarre table dancing at the basketball basket, animal rituals in Norway or glamorous skateboard stunts. Images, which appear to arise form within a modem fairy tale.
Klaus Thymann’s have already been displayed at the Institute of Contemporary Art in London, the Museum Centro Arti Visive Pescheria in Italy or the Paul Smith ‘Space’ Gallery in Tokyo. They have been published in magazines such as i-D, GQ, Details and POP amongst others.
BBlessing is both a fashion store and a gallery in which Klaus presents his 42 photographs in a solo exhibition.
