Michael Kämpf : fashion awards at Bode-Museum in Berlin, JEAN PAUL / BLACKY DRESS catalogues, musician portraits and PHASE ONE seminar
To celebrate designer Nanna Kuckuck being presented with a fashion award, Michael KÄMPF exhibited Haute Couture photos in a worldwide limited art edition at the Bode-Museum in Berlin. He displayed the motifs, produced as Ditone Prints by RECOM, on cubes, to 500 invited guests.
Each year he photographs seven models from one nation for the NANNA KUCKUCK campaign. The commercial motifs which were presented as posters, grabbed the attention of many an international editor.
A further exhibition at a Korean gallery presents the results of Michael’s collaboration with actress and TV presenter MOON SUK. The triptych is part of an elaborate exhibition project, which he has been working on since last year. The triptych will be unveiled next year – the place and date will be disclosed nearer to the event.
The photographer demonstrated his efficiency in the campaigns for the coming Spring/Summer collections of the JEAN PAUL and BLACKY DRESS brands. The production of the JEAN PAUL catalogue was rigorously realised with a strict agenda: 13 motifs were shot on one day, including set changes and lighting arrangements on location. He photographed Soprano singer Anna Leese’s CD cover for MICHAEL STORRS MUSIC. The London-based music label commissioned the Berliner with the portraits of international opera stars for various covers and a calendar.
The latest advertising photographs for acrobatic violinist duo DUO VIOLA’s world tour are equally as musically themed.
Michael is currently working on his ‘look close’ personal book project, which is made up of close-ups. He is also sharing his knowledge: he held a seminar for PHASE ONE, attended by 140 professional photographers, wishing to improve their Capture One Pro and digital workflow skills at the DELIGHT RENTAL STUDIOS.
