The marsil tip for Art Fair 24 in Cologne : Galerie Bart, Amsterdam, with Stephan J. Englisch, Yvonne Lacet and the FOTO1OO online gallery

Cologne’s Marsil Hotel is renowned for its creative guests. The same goes for ART FAIR 21, which will take place from 29 October until 1 November at EXPO XXI in Cologne. The Bart Gallery of Amsterdam will reside at the apartment hotel and GoSee headquarters and will present artists including Stephan J. Englisch and Yvonne Lacet at the contemporary art fair. GoSee presents a preview teaser of works – more can be viewed at the event.

Stephan J. Englisch, born in 1977, Leverkusen, spends most evenings on the road with his camera, choosing to exclusively work with a digital camera. He says that with his large format camera and exposure times ranging between 5 and 55 minutes, he creates a private world waiting to be explored.

The gallery first came across Stephan J. Englisch during his studies at the Academy of Art and Design in Enschede, the Netherlands. He had just returned from a trip to Canada, laden with plenty of material, which will soon be on show on the gallery’s website in the coming months.

Yvonne Lacet focuses on conceptual photography. Born in 1980 in the Netherlands, she studied at the Art Academy in Utrecht. She wishes to draw attention to basic structures through the simplification of objects and situations in her work. She explains it as follows: "My work can be seen as models without paint or decoration, a characterless blankness, though with strong resemblance to the living world."

In addition to this, the gallerists run FOTO1OO, an online gallery with contemporary photography from Holland, which mainly specialises in art photography. The growing collection presents exclusive work at affordable prices. Those that wish to widen their horizon should go see the images captured by young up and coming photographers in Holland.
