NEW : Cameralink, Agency, Stockholm
CAMERALINK is a new addition to GoSee. Founded in 1990 by Lena Gullberg and Åsa Gadestam, CameraLink was Sweden’s first agency for photographers and stylists. It was their goal from the start to provide artists with the same amount of support in both commercial assignments, as with the organisation of exhibitions and their artistic demands.
Three companies are now run under the umbrella brand name and located in Stockholm’s Södermalm quarter. LinkDetails represents stylists, set designers and hair & make-up artists, and also provides casting and location services as a production company. LinkImage is a high quality image archive, which includes work by top Swedish photographers, in addition to CameraLink photographers.
Here is their first job news: photographer Magnus MAGNUSSON captured designer Matthew Williamson in his typical style for H&M. The reason behind the shoot: the English dandy will be the next guest designer to collaborate with the Swedish high street chain. His new collection carries his colourful signature style and will be sending temperatures soaring this summer. H&M stores will stock his Summer 2009 men’s and women’s wear pieces from mid May onwards. Williamson designing menswear is an H&M exclusive – we can’t wait for the premiere!
“It is an incredible opportunity to be working with H&M, creating a 'Matthew Williamson for H&M' capsule collection. I love the fact that H&M has created a new phenomenon in fashion through the pioneering concept of collaborating with high-end designers to create one-off limited edition capsule collections. I am thrilled that my creations for H&M will be accessible to and hopefully enjoyed by so many people around the world," enthused Matthew Williamson.
"Matthew has such a good eye and a method for working with prints that he mixes up in a new way. When he combines these things, you get a very contemporary London look," explains H&M's creative advisor Margareta van den Bosch.
Matthew Williamson’s colourful collections first stormed the London fashion scene in 1997 and have been coveted by the likes of Kate Moss, Helena Christensen and Jade Jagger ever since. In fact, Britain’s answer to Anna Wintour, Hillary Alexander of the Daily Telegraph has even recently crowned him the “Boho King”. His red carpet royalty fans include Sienna Miller, Keira Knightley, Kate Hudson and Gwyneth Paltrow.
