Reality Studio - the ethnic nomadic helicopter look by designer Svenja Specht & Berlin Fashion Week

Svenja Specht is the face behind the Reality Studio label. The designer takes her inspiration from the normality that surrounds her - her ‘Reality’. The ‘Studio’ in the label name reflects the hands on, active approach she takes to reworking her so called reality.

Svenja studied fashion and product design. After working in Paris, Beijing (China) and Germany in the fields of Graphic-, Product- and Costume design, she returned home to Berlin, where started her own label Reality Studio, in 2005.

Although she was born in Germany, she draws her inspiration primarily from where she worked and lived for 3 years – in Beijing, China, a dazzling, lively City between tradition and an extreme fast coming modernity.

All these experiences led to Svenja Specht’s collections, which somehow combine multicultural influences with an androgynous elegance, which result in very unique, and always wearable designs.

Catch up with REALITY STUDIO in person at Berlin Fashion Week. She will be showing a preview of her summer collection ‘CALL HER NAME’ 2010 on 3 and 4 July at Showroom, Parkhaus, Schröderstrasse 13 in Berlin-Mitte. The party will take place on the night before, from 6pm onwards.
