FASHION MADE IN AUSTRIA • Show Angewandte 12 : 50 students of Bernhard Willhelm present their vision of fashion in Vienna. Watch the live stream on the 6th of June
The 2012 fashion class of the University of Applied Arts Vienna (supervised by Bernhard Wilhelm) is hosting 'Show Angewandte 12' on the 6th of June 2012 in the former Anker Expedithalle, Puchsbaumgasse 1C in 1100 Vienna. Despite the best of intentions, we assume that not everyone will be able to suddenly embark on a trip to Vienna, but don't despair, there will be a LiveStream!
This is the twelfth Show Angewandte, which is considered one of the most diverse fashion shows in Austria. Just under 50 students and graduates present their personal visions of contemporary fashion to the highest artistic and technical standards in their degree collections on the 6th of June at the former Anker Expedithalle in 1100 Wien.
This year, for the first time, over 250 outfits will not be presented on the classic catwalk, but rather in a specially designed spatial concept, where they will be viewed with great media interest by around 1,500 expected guests and an international jury made up of fashion, art and lifestyle experts.
The Fashion Class of the University of Applied Arts is the only educational institution in Austria to offer a university degree in fashion design. Since the early 1980s the fashion class professor has included a range of internationally successful designers including Veronique Branquinho, Raf Simons, Viktor & Rolf, Vivienna Westwood and Helmut Lang. Successful graduates include Bless, Wendy&Jim, Petar Petrov, Ute Ploier .....
Alongside The Essence annual show, Show Angewandte is one of the highlights of the annual events at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna.
