Bernstein & Andriulli: Ne-Yo for ALFANI RED by MACY - spots on GoSee
Alan CRESTO’s latest spots feature Soul & R&B singer Ne-Yo and celebrate the launch of the ALFANI RED campaign. Ne-Yo is the latest face of Macy’s menswear range. The production was realised in Prague, the ads are currently running on the Jumbo Tron (= Megascreen) at Macy’s Herald Square, as well as in the shop windows, the shops and of course the internet.
Ne-Yo was born Shaffer Peter Chimere Smith on 18 October 1982 in Camden, Arkansas. The American R&B singer, songwriter and actor has Afro-American, Chinese and Nigerian ancestors.
Initially a songwriter (for artists including Mary J. Blige, Christina Milian, Faith Evans and Jamie Foxx), he signed his first record deal in 2002 with Columbia Records, after which he signed with Def Jam Records, with whom he released his debut single, titled ‘Stay” in 2005. His sequel single ‘So Sick’ was met with much acclaim.
Ne-Yo’s third album ‘Year of the Gentleman’ was published in autumn 2008. The pre-release hyped ‘Closer’ single was his second number 1 hit in the UK charts, and his first top 10 hit in the German and Austrian charts. Today on 2 September, his best-of album will be released in Japan. Here is an interview to mark his MACY deal, as well as two of the campaign’s spots on GoSee.
