Cannes representatives WerbeWeischer and Studio Funk invited guests to the German Beach 2012. Call for entries for the ‘Mehr Spielraum für Ideen’ (more scope for ideas) advertising film festival

From a GoSee point of view Thursday night at Cannes Lions belongs to GERMAN BEACH by Studio Funk and WerbeWeischer. We always love being on the beach. Most of the creatives aren’t that stressed come Thursday, they have got most things done, important appointments were kept…. What better way to celebrate than with a laidback sundowner.

The music was of course provided by the German advertising DJ team Turntable-Werbern, rivers of rosé were never ending and beer was also served. Nice as ever – and we have photos for you too of course. But now we want to use this opportunity to quickly draw your attention again to the WW’s competition:

With ‘Mehr Spielraum für Ideen’ (more scope for ideas) WerbeWeischer has created a new advertising film competition via their mehrspielraumfuerideen.de website. Every creative that wants to be in with a chance of realising his or her own silver screen idea is called on to come up with an image campaign for the cinema format.

The winner will be presented with the professional realisation of his or her idea on the silver screen including advertising in the cinema with a media volume of around two million Euros. The winning entry will be selected through a public online vote on Youtube and the decision of a jury comprising renowned film experts.

To enter all you have to do is register an idea for three to five campaign films on the site. The competition is built up on the ‘Mehr Spielraum für Ideen’ advertising films by WerbeWeischer, which have been seen by around 14 million viewers in German cinemas since the beginning of the year and are now in need of sequel spots. WerbeWeischer produced the initial ‘Mehr Spielraum für Ideen’ films in cooperation with HAW Hamburg students.

The competition closes on 31. August 2012.
