Berlin, U55, next stop parliament, Quigo – and action! Unusual? Exceptional! But that is the ideal location for shooting a QUIGO ad video.

Martin W. Maier, a specialist in all things anamorphous (optical illusions) was commissioned by the V4 agency. The ‘Quigo 3D Cube Illusion’ video presents a ‘magical 3D cube’ that is projected onto walls, subway trains and escalators by means of a self-levelling cross line laser. The campaign aims to increase Quigo’s brand recognition particularly amongst the younger generation.

What might look like a mere coincidence in the video, does in fact come down to extreme precision: the cross-line laser makes it appear as if stripes of tape are being put onto the wall of an underground station. However, from one particular perspective, the stripes turn out to be a three-dimensional cube.

And what exactly is a Quigo? Well, Quigo is the ingenious cross-line laser that projects both a horizontal and vertical line of lasers. Self-levelling, very easy controls and it can be installed everywhere thanks to the clamp that is part of the package.

Well, probably not the go-to device for creative everyday life – but when it comes to painting, tiles, wallpaper or putting up cupboards and pictures, the product could prove invaluable for DIY-heroes and wonnabes.
