Denis Kamioka, a.k.a. CISMA, jetted in from Brazil to present his latest works at the RegieLounge. CISMA, Portuguese for “strong and irrational conviction” has become a fitting description for his portfolio, which encompasses visual styles  and techniques, which are impossible to categorise.

The son of Japanese parents in Brazil, he began his career life as a machinist, then switched to a table tennis world champion, before opting for moving imagery.

Denis counts renowned Brazilian graffiti artists as his closest friends. This unusual mixture of life experience and inspiration provided the self taught director and animator with a wide ranging basis for the deign of his work.

His animation and direction career kicked off at Lobo in São Paulo, followed by a creative position with Diesel in Italy. In 2005 he moved to Barcelona to work on his career as a film and animation director. His clients include ADOBE and MARTINI, both spots can be viewed here.

He has worked on well known campaigns for advertising agencies such as Wieden + Kennedy and Goodby, Silverstein + Partners. Denis now lives in São Paulo and has combined his most recent work with live action and visual effects. See the proof of the pudding here on GoSee FILM!

Denis is represented by Parasol Island, Düsseldorf.
