Berlin Fashion Week : blue, yellow & green .... Art Director Frederik Heyman and designers Bernhard Willhelm, Peter Pilotto, Henrik Vibskov & Mikio Sakabe
ModeMuseum (Fashion Museum) Antwerp and Mercedes-Benz present the RECOLLECTION QUARTETT exhibition at Berlin Fashion Week. Belgian art director Frederik Heyman and fashion designers Bernhard Wilhlem, Peter Pilotto, Henrik Vibskov and Mikia Sakabe were asked to create four installations.
The focus of each installation is a Mercedes-Benz Young Classic. Photographer and artist Frederik Heyman created a set for each of these cars from the 60s, 70s and 80s. The design of scenic motifs and their photographic reproduction form the core of Heyman's work, which is peppered with a sense of humour and a surrealist visual language. The fashion designers have furnished one installation with three specially created designs each.
Frederik Heyman studied graphic design and illustration at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. GoSee presents some highlights from his portfolio – P. PILOTTO for KIPLING was published in Metal Magazine 21. Click here to view more of his work.
The installation is open from the 19th to the 23rd of January 2011 and GoSee presents some images for those that can’t make it.
