Marketing & creative director Ulrike Krasemann’s creative team travelled to the city of Marrakech, Morocco for the new spring/summer 2012 campaign.
Spicy aromas, intense colours and the magic of the oriental lifestyle inspired the production, which primarily took place at the legendary Palasthotel 'La Mamounia Marrakech'. Apart from the famous luxury hotel and all its gardens and oasis of calm, the locations were the lively market place Djemaa el Fna, the beauty of the desert as well as a Koran school – the perfect backdrop for the new collection.
“Marrakech is a magical place”, muses Frank Rheinboldt, chairman of the management board at AppelrathCüpper. “The wealth of colours provides the ideal backdrop to introduce our new summer collection.”
Once again, top model Katrin Thormann and Swedish fashion photographer Oscar FALK ('Gant' and others) c/o LUNDLUND were booked for the campaign. The new catalogue by AppelrathCüpper reflects the very special atmosphere and the magical light of the Orient and is a great way of visualising the diversity of colours and cuts of the S/S collection.
