Gap Films : Feature film director Marco KREUZPAINTNER

Feature film director Marco KREUZPAINTNER (*Ganz & Gar*, *Sommersturm*, *Krabat (2008)*) is a new entry to GAP films . It was just before the premiere of his last film *Trade-Willkommen in Amerika*, which was produced by Roland Emmerich, that GAP films were able to exclusively win over the young star director for their agency.

With the addition of his directing talent, GAP films have expanded their extensive director portfolio and are looking forward to being able to offer clients a new A-class of directors. In doing so they are continuing the GAP tradition, which has succeeded with unusual results in the past through the advertising films of Roland Emmerich, Sönke Wortmann, Niko Karo, Caroline Link and Arno Saul.

*Trade-Willkommen in Amerika* (screenplay by Jose Ferrera, Oscar nominated for *Motorcycle Diaries*) premiered 19 September at the United Nations Headquarters, New York and has already created a storm in the media in both the USA and Germany through its political content. In addition to this, 30 year old Marco Kreuzpaintner is following in the steps of Donnersmarck, Hirschbiegel, Schwendtke and Tykwer, proving that Germany’s directing talents have a new and valued place in Hollywood.

On the other hand, the fact that American film stars keep on jetting to Berlin has also demonstrated the gaining importance of Germany as a media location. The thriller deals with the 32 billion dollar sex slave market in the border area between the USA and Mexico.
