GAPfilms : Gold and Silver at the Spotlight Awards with Schäfersekündchen & Co - the fastest TV spots for Switzerland

GAPfilms collected significant awards at Spotlight, the 13th International Advertising Film Festival in Mannheim. The 90-minute long ceremony, in a relaxed lounge atmosphere, centred around the presentation of the specialist panel award.

Networking was another focus: professionals from the advertising industry met up with newcomers from the best colleges in Germany; interesting conversations took place, accompanied by sparkling wine and delicious canapés.

There was also a selection of entertaining Best-Of German language spots in the traditional TV and Cinema categories, as well as Web & Mobile and the new ‘No Limits’ category. On the night, the viewers became the public panel and presented their own Spotlight Public Award, using a digital voting system.

The highlight of the evening was the consequent presentation of the Public Award, where spots where featured which the advertising public took a particular liking to.

Grimme-Award winner Oliver Kalkofe – the anti-hero of German TV presented the awards once again. His witty media-related comments provided the public with an extra entertainment factor.

GAPfilms received two awards in the TV & Cinema categories, for their AIDS prevention spot for the Euro RSCG Group agency, Switzerland and BUNDESAMT FÜR GESUNDHEIT (German Ministry of Health).

They collected the Gold Public Award and Silver for all three entries from the panel.
