We love it fluffy! Pictoplasma Festival 2011 transforms Berlin into a colourful world of characters

There is no turning back now – the Pictoplasma Festival Berlin 2011 will open its gates in less than a few days. Just like in previous years, the conference and all its artist presentations, lectures and workshops have been sold out for quite some time.

No need to despair though: should you happen to be in Berlin between the 6th and 10th of April, yet lacking a festival & conference pass, there are still plenty of other events happening for you to enjoy – for example the Character Walk, which is made up of 25 exhibitions and installations, free for everyone.

The absolute hot spot, the Babylon cinema will be showing ‘Characters in Motion’ around the clock, on the big screen of course. Furthermore, Pictoplasma will spice up the Berlin nightlife through – as they put it – ‘character driven reasons to party’. We can’t wait!

The fantastic line-up of conference participants this year includes Keita Takahashi from Japan, Matt Jones from Great Britain, Doppeldenk from Germany, Amandine Urruty from France, Juliana Pedemonte from Argentina and Nick Cave from Australia, whose character work we recently introduced here on GoSee.

More details about the guests, as well as all dates and events, are available on the festival website. We wish you a happy trip to Pictoplasmania!
