What's New, What's Old? Nordic Fashion Biennale is 'Looking back to find our Future'. Exhibition curated by Hrafnhildur Arnardóttir aka Shoplifter
"Rather make a comment in fashion than repeat it" says Iceland's expert lady responsible for Björk's larger than life haircuts, the artist Hrafnhildur Arnardóttir aka Shoplifter.
On a different note, she is the current curator of the 'Looking back to find our Future' exhibition at the Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle, open until the 13th of November, produced in cooperation with the Nordic House, Reykjavik, Iceland. The exhibition coincides with the Nordic Fashion Biennale.
The event took place for the first time in 2009, with 60 designers and in 2011, it takes place on American soil for the first time too. The event includes fashion and jewellery from Denmark, the Faroer Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Sweden and Norway.
Here is the interview with charming Hrafnhildur on GoSee.
