Zweiohrküken - Tilora are back - in German cinemas now, plus trailer here on GoSee
Boasting over 6.3 million viewers, Til Schweiger's comedy KEINOHRHASEN proved to be the most successful of 2008. The German answer to Brangelina – Til Schweiger and Nora Tschirner!
The winning duo won the Bambi and the German Comedy Award, Til was also awarded the Bavarian Film Award in the Public Choice category, as well as the Ernst-Lubitsch-Award. However, it was the double act that won over the rugged and romantic heart of the German cinema audience.
Tabloid journalist Ludo (Til Schweiger) and nursery teacher Anna (Nora Tschirner) found each other alight, but what next? Ludo and Anna two years later . . . everyday life has reared its ugly head. When Ludo runs into Marie (Edita Malovcic), an old acquaintance of his, Anna becomes jealous, and quite rightly she so! The former is still very much into Ludo, who is trying to fight off Anna's attempts to control his life and demands more free space. As bad luck has it, Anna's ex-boyfriend Ralf (Ken Duken) turns up all of a sudden and Ludo's sense of freedom soon becomes less appealing than he had previously thought . . .
Til Schweiger is currently starring in, co-writing, producing and directing the sequel; ZWEIOHRKÜKEN. Collaborating with his trusted Barefoot film team, featuring producer Tom Zickler, co-writer Anika Decker and cinematographer Christoph Wahl, who was presented with the German Award for Cinematography for his first feature film.
Writers Til and Anika did a swell job of analysing our society via their insightful plot. A robust, heterosexual woman and a girlie, sway-headed straight guy who sews, knits and gossips as if he were the long lost, admittedly older, twin brother of the Gilmore Girls. That is, until one susses him out, only to discover a true macho revealed behind a façade of the neat low-maintenance metrosexual.
Indeed, not just any macho, but the kind that is chasing every skirt in town. Yet, still a man, who does worry about what women might think of him, unlike the good old days of George Best. Now, it is the boys who are the victims of their tightly knit female company. Thank god, women like Nora are strong; they can forgive … if they must. Does she have to? Watch the film and find out!
Til and Nora Matthias feature in the leading roles, joined by Schweighöfer and Emma Tiger Schweiger as Cheyenne-Blue. Sexy Ken Duken in the role of Anna's ex-boyfriend Ralf and Edita Malovcic as Ludo's ex-girlfriend Marie are responsible for intense scenes of jealousy. The remaining cast can be viewed as the German who-is-who of acting, Heiner Lauterbach, Steffen Wink, Thomas Heinze, Marc Hosemann, Pegah Ferydoni and Jasmin Gerat.
