Creamier : Contemporary Art in Culture - the 100 best contemporary artists spread across 296 pages at Art Basel

Phaidon Press is pleased to announce a new addition to its Cream series: ‘Creamier: Contemporary Art in Culture’. Following Cream (1998), Fresh Cream (2000), Cream 3 (2003) and Ice-Cream (2007), ten international curators have again selected the 100 best artists of our time and put them together in one book.

Creamier is a luxury portfolio of innovative design. It comes in an unconventional unbound newspaper format and presents its ‘art news’ to an audience of collectors, art lovers and of course everyone who gets excited when they hear the words ‘contemporary art’.

In the introduction, the curators discuss the global recession, which has also had its effect on the art market, as well as artistic practise. People in conversation include representatives of museums in Los Angeles, Hiroshima and London.

The selection of artists and the presented media is just as international. The publication presents a wide range of video artists, painters, sculptors and installation artists.

Creamier was recently launched at Art Basel and is available in stores now.
