GoSee book tip : 'Fast Forward' by Werner Aisslinger. A piece of design history on 180 pages.

These are 30 exceptional product designs and buildings. This is the first documentation of an Industrial Design Studio, which was founded in Berlin in 1993. This is the first monograph by Werner Aisslinger. This is an illustrated piece of innovation. This is ‘Fast Forward’.

Only a few can consider themselves one of the greats – Werner Aisslinger can. His works can be found in intentionally renowned exhibition spaces such as MoMa, Metropolitan Museum New York, Vitra Design Museum and Pinakothek der Modern. He is a first league player, people will speak of him in the near future when discussing the 20th, and 21st Century design.

Now, on 180 pages, 'Fast Forward' discusses what constitutes the success of Aisslinger's products: material, technological, typological and conventional potential. His furniture and lights, the system development, miniature architectures and interiors reflect the mix of self-defined experiment and precisely composed commission work.

Werner Aisslinger was born in 1964 and worked as a Freelancer for Jasper Morrisson in Ron Arad in London as well as at Michele de Lucci in Milan prior to founding his own studio. He lives in Berlin.

The book begins with a foreword by design journalist and professor for product design Volker Albus and is published by Avedition.
