THE NAKED TRUTH -11 women and 1 photographer. Nadja Auermann posed alongside ten other famous women, including Julia Stegner, a preggers Luca Gajdus, Nina Hoss and Donata Wenders, for the June issue of DEUTSCH VOGUE, photographed by Peter Lindbergh, who wanted nothing more than the naked truth – no make-up, no fakery, just pure. Peter Lindbergh comments in the VOGUE interview ‘it is great to spread the message as a photographer that women do not need to be perfect, wrinkle-free or made-up… doing without make-up and retouching is far more daring than showing any naked body part. I felt it was important for the models to be naked or unmarked, and not be scared of showing themselves in this way. There is nothing wrong with make-up, but photos without make-up are like a little reality check. And the retouches have become such an addition, that as a photographer you have to kick up a huge fuss in advance to ensure the editors won’t fiddle around with the photos behind your back.’
