Anja Frers : GQ editorial with the Jesus's of the Passion Play, ROECKL look book and Festival International de la Photographie de Mode in Cannes

Anja Frers photographed the three Jesus actors of the traditional Passion Play in Oberammergau for the current issue of GQ. The passion play tales place every ten years and almost all of the locals love to take part in the spectacle.

The concept of the photo series: growing younger. GQ loved giving the lads a new fresh look. FYI all actors have had to grow their hair since the 25th of February 2011 2009.

Dagmar Murkudis was the stylist, Manfred Kraft added his hairstyling skills to the mix, DOROTHEE Meyer c/o Youngdivision by GoSee Member STERNENFÄNGER applied the make-up. Valentina D‘Ettore retouched the somewhat rosy complexions from a previous night on the bottle.

Anja also shot this season’s look book for client ROECKL. Models Charlotte Fogh Hoyer and Florent Megdoud were styled by Claudia Englmann, with hair and make-up by Uli Wissel.

Marie-Luise Dorst was in charge of the creation, GOLD POSTPRODUKTION added the finishing touches in post-production.

The Festival International de la Photographie de Mode decided to once again pick an image by Anja to advertise their event in Cannes 2011.

The event will take place at the beginning of July. Ruth Tordjam and her husband will welcome photographers from all over the world to join them for sunshine, rose champagne and other delicacies.
