Artware Industry : French actors Melanie Thierry and Gaspard Ulliel for French edition L'OFFICIEL, witty word games for the TROIS SUISSES campaign, Forever Young - 40 years of KICKERS and editorials for MILK and ELLE ENFANT
Philippe COMETTI photographed the beautiful and talented Melanie Thierry for L'OFFICIEL.
Mélanie began her modelling career in France, before switching to acting. She began by playing in French productions. Aged 18 she starred in ‘The Legend of 1900’ and started to gain international recognition.
Her first Hollywood film was Babylon A.D. in 2008. Her lead role in the Parisian stage adaptation of Tennessee William’s ‘Baby Doll’ was nominated for the 2009 Molière – France’s most prestigious theatre award.
One year later, she received the César for best newcomer actress for her role in Philippe Godeau’s feature film ‘Le dernier pour la route’.
Melanie is currently the new face of YSL's Opium. She enchants the viewer with a dance performance, specially choreographed for her by Avram Khan. Director Romain Gavras, son of Greek French director and screenplay writer Costa Gavras, captured the beautiful piece.
In the L'OFFICIEL editorial, French actor Gaspard Ulliel, the current testimonial of CHANEL’s Bleu fragrance for men, joins her. The legendary Martin Scorsese directed the video.
She also stars in ‘The Princess of Nontpensier’. The film is set in France, 1562, in the midst of the religious war between the Huguenots and the Catholics.
Comte de Chabannes (Lambert Wilson) is the tragic character that slowly but surely gets sick of the constant carnage which is apparently in the name of good will.
When he then kills a pregnant woman by mistake, he decides to put the weapons to one side and desert the cause.
Philip GAY photographed the current campaign by hip French fashion mail-order company TROIS SUISSES with stylist Ondine Azoulay.
Models Irina Lazareanu, Inguna Butane and Jeisa Chiminazzo posed for the camera.
The agency was BETC, whose witty word play is bound to get every fashionista craving their latest styles.
Photographer Delphine CHANET is currently celebrating 40 years of KICKERS. The legendary American label was founded in 1970. The anniversary was celebrated with a collection that is both classic and forward thinking.
Delphine managed to capture the brand’s sense of fun and authenticity in her energetic and colourful photographs.
Music has always been a crucial part of the brand – the ‘Forever Young since 1970 campaign stars duo Archimède.
Delphine also photographed the cover of and several spreads in MILK kids mag, issue no.29 and ELLE Enfant.
