Claudia Bitzer : expansion needs ... around the world for K+S, the Walther Collection's architecture for INTELLIGENT LIFE, more awards for TOYOTA, exhibiting at the UPdate 2011

Oscar VAN DE BREEK adhered to the motto ‘Expansion needs... “ and travelled all around the globe to climb the so-called potash mountains, artificially created from the remains of potash production. He drove several hundred metres underground, trudged through the freezing cold. The results are fascinating impressions of the earth’s resources, which only a few will ever have the pleasure to behold.

The reason behind the elaborate project: the K+S worldwide market communication and annual report. The company from Kassel is an international heavyweight in all things natural resources and in order to bring this point across visually, Oscar had to draw on the whole range of his skills.

The pictures were created in collaboration with the Heisters & Partner Agency with CD Valentin Heisters. Last but not least, the RECOM post-producers in Stuttgart added the finishing touches.

Steffen SCHRÄGLE photographed awe-inspiring architecture motifs from the Walther Collection Gallery building in Burlafingen at Neu-Ulm for British Lifestyle Magazine INTELLIGENT LIFE. Both the bright rooms and the exhibits were the focus of the project.

The Walther Collection is an international art collection, which focuses on collecting and exhibiting contemporary photography and video art. The three exhibition buildings – White Cube, Green House and Black House – form an irregularly sized triangle and represent the collection’s various aspects through the specific architectural form.

The TOYOTO motifs by Christian SCHMIDT have been presented with another set of awards. He received a BFF Merrit for the ‘Klamm’ motif. The complete series also received the renowned IF Communication Design Award.

In between the jobs, Christian took some time off to produce freelance motifs. The series focuses on his favourite speciality: impressive landscapes and their unfathomable width. These two motifs were created in the seclusion serenity of Norway, as well as at Wadden Sea before the North Sea coast.

If you want to meet Claudia Blitzer in person, you can do so during the UPdate on the 6th of May in Frankfurt, where you can chat over drinks in her lounge.
