Deniz Saylan : PORSCHE Tennis Grand Prix, on the road for INFINITI Adeyaka magazine, LAMBORGHINI Mag, MERCEDES, VOLKSWAGEN and MAHLER CHAMBER ORCHESTRA
Girls, Set & Match! Deniz Saylan photographed the new PORSCHE Tennis Grand Prix, Stuttgart 2011 key visuals with model JAZZY Philipps c/o BRODYBOOKINGS.
Early this year, Deniz travelled across Austria and Japan to produce various motifs for INFINITI's 'Adeyaka' premium client magazine.
He went on a city trip to Salzburg to shoot a series in the style of a news report with the EX30d, the manufacturer's first Diesel vehicle. The FX30d shoot was slightly wilder, taking place in the snowy landscape of Obertauern, a wild head-to-head race with a speedflyer.
The INFINITI brand journey seeks to familiarise the client with the Japanese 'Way of Life'. It endeavours to answer questions of how and why through the use of through exceptional Japanese craftsmen and designers in the new flagship model M.
Accompanying portraits of people in their studios and workshops as well as landscape pictures featuring the new M model were produced all over the country.
Sano Magic photographed Sueshiro Sano in Tokyo. Sueshiro, who is actually a learned shipwright, produces racing bicycles from mahogany. Made from 100 percent wood, they are lighter and more stable than conventional carbon bicycles. A secret process results in the production of three to four bicycles per year. The waiting list is as long as you’d expect and prices start from 20,000 US Dollars.
The portrait of the owner of the luxurious Ryokan 'Gora Kadan' was produced in Hakone, Japan, a countryside retreat located a few hours outside of Tokyo. It used to be the summer residence of part of the imperial family. A Ryokan is a traditional Japanese guesthouse, offering tranquillity and rest for the guest.
LAMBORGHINI, VW and MERCEDES also relied on the photographer from Stuttgart. Stephane Ratel, founder of the SRO Motorsports Group and organiser of the FIA-GT championship posed for the camera at the VW racing stable at the HTTT Circuit Paul Ricard in Southern France.
16 motifs in three different countries were produced for Stuttgart-based car manufacturer MERCEDES in two months. The image campaign, which we will present upon its release, features landscape and people motifs produced in Germany, France and Switzerland.
The members of the Mahler Chambr Orchestra, aka MCO, had their portrait taken by Deniz Saylan. Due to the orchestra's tight tour schedule, the portraits had to be produced all over Europe, in Vienna, Berlin, Baden-Baden and Ferrara in Italy. The MCO is considered one of the most famous orchestras in the world and consists of 40 members from 18 countries. It was founded by conductor Claudio Abado in 1997.
