Frank Meyl : nominations at the Sony World Photography Awards and the Hasselblad Masters and voted one of the 200 Best Ad Photographers by Lürzer's Archive

Frank Meyl’s Midcentury Modern Architecture personal series has been shortlisted for one of the first places in the Sony World Photography Awards’ Fine Arts Architecture category.

The winners will be announced at a glamorous awards ceremony at the Leicester Square Odeon in London on the 27th of April.

The images are part of the World Photography Festival, which is simultaneously being held at Somerset House in London. The exhibition will then go on to tour the world.

This year the competition saw a record-breaking number of over 105,000 entries from 162 countries and is considered as the most all-encompassing photo competition in the world.

Frank Meyl’s work convinced the Hasselblad Masters jury for a second consecutive year. This year he is honoured as a finalist in the Architecture category. All of the finalists’ images are available online and are subject to a public vote.

Lürzer's Archive 200 Best Ad Photographers Worldwide 2010/2011 – is an additional award, which Frank Meyl won in four categories with a total of eight images.

The jury’s selection of work in the architecture, automobile, people and transportation categories present his wide spectrum of expertise, which he happily applies to international assignments.

Frank commutes between Hamburg and Los Angeles and can be booked locally from both metropolises.
