J. Konrad Schmidt : 'The Corset Piercing' and the woman with an unusual foible, as well as personal portraits and fashion shoots
After a quarter of a year of preparation and intense research, J. Konrad Schmidt was finally able to realise an unusual series: ‘The Corset Piercing’.
The images are entirely authentic and without any Photoshop tricks. Vicky posed for the camera and revealed her eccentric foible.
The meticulously planned dream project was realised in a team effort: Ulrike Schlüter compiled the looks, Helge Branscheidt styled the hair and Nina Park applied the make-up. J. Konrad headed the production and Andreas Doria carried out the post production. Illustration: Johannes Arndt.
J. Konrad Schmidt, hair and make-up artist Boris Rieker and stylist Dietmar Herbert opted for a conventional approach to produce a graphic series on 4x5 inch black and white sheet film. The same rule applies: you can believe your eyes; everything is real!
The day after the Germany vs. Argentina World Cup game, J. Konrad and model Alli Lopez took part in a friendly photography game. The result is a true winner for both teams.
The South American theme continued: Brazil and Samoa provided the hot gestures and deep looks for sensual detail shots. The two models with the striking names Rya Carolina and Totoloua von Zitzewitz first met in the studio that very morning – which makes the emotionally charged images all the more impressive.
