Jens Görlich : above and in the clouds with the LUFTHANSA Airbus A380 and the BFF photographers hold an exhibition in Frankfurt

As recently announced, Jens produced some motifs for LUFTHANSA’s introduction of the new AIRBUS A380. The images were realised in collaboration with Marcin Gruszczyk of MoCgi, who took care of the rendering, and post producer Meike Wittenstein of GoSee member MOPOSTPRODUCTION.

Jens Polkowski was responsible for all things creative, and also contributed to the creation of the background motifs. The shoot was realised from inside a helicopter over the Alps, as well as from inside a jet in the Spanish sky.

GoSee presents the first four motifs from the campaign as well as some making of shots, with more to follow in the next few weeks.

Further photographs by Jens Görlich, who is a member of the BFF-Directorate, will be presented in a group exhibition: This year, the BFF (German union of freelance photo designers) celebrates its 40th anniversary. To mark the occasion, an elaborate picture show will be presented on 9 October, including many new BFF members, at the U.F.O. Loft building in Frankfurt, Fechenheim.

The U.F.O. harbours, besides techno legend Sven Väth’s world famous Cocoon Club, advertising agencies, music and fashion labels. The free spaces surrounding the building, which was awarded the Hessian architecture award in 2005, are frequently used as so-called “Off-Spaces” for exhibitions for all sorts of creative disciplines.

The works, curated by a four man strong editorial office, present a section of the BFF photographers' projects. There was no given theme. Prof. Dr. Klaus Kemp, Thomas Kettner, MAK head curator, photographer and directorate member, Annette Endrass, art buyer at JWT and Celina Lunsford, curator and leader of the photography forum Frankfurt gauged with austere eyes the works for technical, commercial, artistic and emotional aspects.

The 200 pictures will be presented in a choreograped slide show, via projectors on large canvasses in the loft, measuring 350 m2.

22 of the 50 BFF photographers from the Frankfurt region will be showing their oeuvre, including Jens Görlich, Thomas Balzer, Katrin Binner, Alex Habermehl, Markus Hintzen, Michael Meisen, Dominik Mentzos, Sung-Hee Seewald, Gerhilde Skoberne, Tim Thiel, Karsten Thormaehlen and Marc Trautmann.
