Jens Görlich : in Saudi Arabia for SIEMENS , LUFTHANSA Lounge design via helicopter and BFF Award Merit

Jens realised a series for SIEMENS on ‘energy generation/water sourcing’ in Shoaiba, Saudi Arabia. Having mastered all the challenges of entering the country, they were then confronted by a second problem: the heat.

At 40 °C outside it was a challenge to remain focused – however, the indoor shoots in the boiling turbine buildings proved an almost impossible feat. The team felt as if they were in a sauna. However, only the crewmembers suffered and the soaring temperatures didn’t affect the results.

The agency was Ogilvy Frankfurt, on set: CD-Text Lars Huvart, Art Buyer Chrissy Hufgard, producer Lutz Hegenbarth. Martin Repplinger carried out the post-production of the attached motifs.

Jens is currently working on the new LUFTHANSA AG lounge design, which will be used in the business and senator lounges worldwide. He has shot a series of images of the airline’s travel destinations, which will be integrated in a characteristic part of the airplane.

Jens photographed the backgrounds from a helicopter, hovering over locations including New York, Cape Town, Norway and San Francisco. The plane views ere later integrated into the images through Marcin Gruszczyk’s rendering skills.
