Shotview : Way of the West - new entry Jim KRANTZ, Julia Roitfeld for GRAZIA, STERN fashion, Mario LOMBARDO by GESTALTEN VERLAG, REWE GROUP, A Shaded View on Fashion Film
Joachim BALDAUF collaborated with stylist Claudia Hofmann to produce an editorial for the biannual STERN fashion issue. Baldauf’s signature styles of careful choice of poses and arrangement, combined with irresistible style, turn this editorial into a story.
Jim KRANTZ is the latest addition to the fine selection of Shotview Photographers. After his series ‘The Way of the West’ made him the IPA Advertising Photographer 2010, the travelling photographer from Chicago has been voted the ‘IPA Photographer of the Year’ at the Lucie finals as well, which won him the Top Lucie Award 2010!
For several years his works, which draw inspiration from Wild West iconography, the United States and the American way of Life, have made an impact in the world of photography. Yet, some very emotional lifestyle and people works from more remote corners of the globe are a testimony to his diversity.
His broad portfolio of international campaigns includes clients such as Nokia, Wells Fargo, Adam Kimmel, Marlboro and the US Army. Apart from commission photography, he works as a freelance artist and painter, represented by (amongst others) Danziger Projects NY.
Furthermore, no less than three book projects are being realised at the moment: ‘Time & Decay’, ‘Fragments:Surviving Cambodia’ and ‘Equivalents’ will all be released in the near future. A cordial welcome: Jim Krantz!
Peter GEHRKE photographed Julia Roitfeld, the kid of the French vogue editor in chief for a beauty editorial in French GRAZIA. The pictures are distinguished by a hint of 70ies aesthetics, which compliment the enchanting nonchalance of the successful model, graphic designer and society darling.
Mario LOMBARDO is a pearl within the Shotview family. It seems, that the art director is constantly reinventing graphic design while demonstrating an incomparable sense of style at the same time. So, it comes as no surprise that the publisher who specialises in this area, decided to honour his talent. DIE GESTALTEN is publishing ‘The Tender Spot’; a collage of Mario's best works from the last couple of years. By the way – have you bought all those Christmas presents yet ;-)?
Peter GEHRKE was once again booked by Swedish glamrock band ‘The Ark’ to produce portraits for their ‘In Full Regalia’ LP. The bold colour pop images accentuate the extravagant album, are used as both the album cover, and also as press photographs.
Amira FRITZ worked for the fashionable GREY MAGAZINE. Amira's trademark style comes into full bloom in the publication by Dutch publishers Bruil & van de Staaj, as it merges with the slightly odd fashion (Undercover), styled by Valentina Ilardi Martin. We got pictures!
Peter RIGAUD was booked for the current REWE Group Austria campaign. The focus is the general trend of sustainability and consumers’ desire to buy products that have been produced regionally. Shotview's experience in street casting contributed to the production’s high degree of authenticity.
The 'A Shaded View on Fashion' film festival is entirely dedicated to fashion, style and beauty. Amira Fritz was invited to contribute to the big show with her VOGUE ITALIA film 'Giving Ground'. The event's exquisite selection is available on the Italian Vogue website.
