Blaublut Edition : newcomer Berry BEHRENDT - fashion, beauty and portraits of Jay Z to actress Karoline Herfurth and Moby

Photographer Berry BEHRENDT is new at Blaublut Edition. Berry began his career as a musician and later become a sought after portrait photographer. By the time he had reached the end of his twenties, he was working for stars such as Jay Z, Missy Elliott, Moby and Kanye West.

This enabled him to combine his love of music with his passion for photography. Berry has been concentrating on fashion and beauty photography ever since his relocation from Hamburg to New York. Two sectors that enable him to live out and realise his full creative potential.

We have attached a small selection of his work, which includes shots of the young and successful actress Karoline Herfurth (‘Im Winter ein Jahr’ directed by Caroline Link) for PETRA magazine (GoSee reported). More can be viewed on the photographer’s website.

The actress recently made another cinema feature appearance in Berlin 36, a film about the true story of Jewish high jumper Gretel Bergmann, who was bumped off the 1936 Olympics in Berlin and denied a gold medal.

She was replaced by high jumper Marie Ketteler, alias successful young German actor Sebastian Urzendowsky – in other words a man, just as much a historic character as Gretel.

Karoline will star as a vampire in 2010 in ‘Wir sind die Nacht’ by Dennis Gansel (Neues vom Wixxer, Die Welle), joined by actresses Nina Hoss and Anna Fischer.
