Claudia Bitzer : JACK NICKLAUS, TEENSTAAG RECORDS, ....

It was on a shoot at the grounds of the Lakeshore Drive golf course, for 1970s golf star JACK NICKLAUS, a.k.a. The Golden Bear, now turned proprietor of a fashion label, that photographer Peer BRECHT discovered that even the biggest names can’t protect you from the dangers of the smallest of creatures. You see, the location is not only popular amongst golfers but also sporty mosquitoes. Despite the large doses of anti-mosquito spray, the models had to be subjected to an intense postproduction to free them of the aggressive red marks which the little nuisances had left as a souvenir.

Despite these difficulties, eleven dynamic, light flooded images were realized that were posted by Christine Hübbe at the same time as the shoot which took place in Germany. In addition to the on-location shoot, Peer shot several photos in the studio. The free art director was Holly and Treedeep assisted the client on location in all things marketing.

Verena KNEMEYER photographed the NEON SLEEP press kit for TEENSTAAG RECORDS. The band with the rather humble name are best described as concocting *handmade electropop*. Christian SCHMIDT’s new pictures demonstrate how to provide a normal carpark with an aesthetic touch. Christian’s objective provided a special atmosphere to the edge of a 1950s shopping mal, where housewives meet up on a regular basis to stock up on their household supplies. However, Christian’s view was transfixed by the tyre marks which were explained at the break of dark, when the carpark is abandoned by its daytime visits and rekindled in a different light by suburban pimp ride wheely freaks. He photographed the series at night near Los Angeles. Christian was supported by Gyorgi Sapojnikoff throughout the production.
