Gunda Patzke Photographers : SCANDERBEG SAUER on extreme industrial locations - annual reports in China, Germany, Malaysia, the Netherlands and Singapore

This time round SCANDERBEG SAUER’s typically graphic style of photography takes viewers to visual worlds of extreme industrial locations, in images that were realised for annual reports for various businesses.

The team travelled Switzerland, as well as China, Germany, Malaysia, the Netherlands and Singapore to find the ideal images. Andreana SCANDERBEG provided the smooth planning, as well as project management and Alexander SAUER realised the precise images.

Photo series were shot, amongst others, for the PAUL SCHERRER INSTITUT PSI, Switzerland’s largest research centre for Natural and Engineer sciences, and BURCKHARDT COMPRESSION piston compressors.

Shoot locations also included a petrochemical complex in the Netherlands, with compressors, a refinery in Wallis and a floating liquefied natural gas tanker fuel depot, with a vaporisation plant in Singapore. The challenge of the shoot was to settle on a fixed date in the rainiest month to shoot the ship in military waters from a helicopter… The result of the shoot can be viewed alongside additional images from the series.

The KLIMARAPPEN foundation, which invests in greenhouse gas reducing projects, commissioned SCANDERBEG SAUER to photograph their annual report for the fourth consecutive year. The ‘Agreement of Objectives’ programme, which 350 companies have signed up for, became the main focus this time round. The photographs depict the variety of measures that can be taken to reduce CO2 emissions.

The annual report shoots were followed by a 7-day people production for CREDIT SUISSE – as well as a shoot for another client, which saw a departure from Zurich and an arrival at the breathtaking African landscape. This job took SCANDERBEG SAUER on a follow up shoot to Kenya – to the KUONI Mara Bushtops Camp and to the recently opened KUONI Serengeti Bushtops Camp in Tanzinia… There is plety to show and tell of this job. SCANDERBEG SAUER will spend the next few months working for clients in North and South America, as well as on productions in the United Arab Emirates. The exact dates are to be confirmed, follow up shoots are still subject to flexible bookings.

Dirk WIEDLEIN realised a personal project above the roofs of Frankfurt, with a focus on the central train station and new headquarters of the Deutschen Bahn. The images present unusual perspectives, which we are pleased to present here on GoSee. Additional motifs are in the pipelines.
