House of Orange : tribute to Sonia Rykiel for JACKIE magazine and the art of geometry

Dutch magazine JACKIE communicates the joie de vivre of a true Parisian – Annemariek van DRIMMELEN shot a tribute to Sonia Rykiel. She was helped out by stylist Katelijne Verbruggen, make-up artist Suzanne Verberk and model Sabrina.

Sonia Rykiel is considered the Queen of Knitwear, her signature being stripes. In 1978 Sonia had already launched her own perfume and in 1987 a cosmetic range carrying her brand name followed suit.

In the midst of the deepest winter we have already mentally forgotten the Winter Collections. Fashionably prepared for early summer, we ignore the icy winds and lunge headstrong into – the pre-collections.

Photographer Miep JUKKEMA presents us with a series inspired by the work of artist Malewitsch, the ring leader of the Russian Avant-garde, leading figure of Constructivism and founder of Suprematism. Very geometric – but always with a romantic Je-ne-sais-quoi. Production and styling by Sophia van den Hoek, the hair and make-up was volunteered by Eva Copper and model Nina was centre stage.
