Shotview : Italian ELLE, LINKS LONDON, VOGUE, ST.EMILE, FILIPPA K

This month, Luis SANCHIS’ “Punk Story“ spread was published in Italian edition ELLE. The punk and the lady – beauty and anarchy face each other in a threatening atmosphere under the Berlin sky. SANCHIS also produced British jewellery brand LINKS LONDON’s A/W 08/09 collection.

In addition to this, his work is displayed at the TRAUMFRAUEN (DREAM WOMEN) exhibition at Hamburg’s Deichtorhallen, from September 19 until November 8, 2008. 50 international top photographers, such as Peter Lindbergh, Sheila Metzner, Bettina Rheims and Albert Watson were asked to provide statements on their personal view of contemporary beauty to run alongside their own photographs. The exhibition is accompanied by a detailed DuMont-Verlag book.

Peter RIGAUD got together with art Impresario Sam Keller and godfather of punk, Malcolm McLaren for DEUTSCH VOGUE. He escorted the two Kings of Cool during their talk on real Avant-garde, true anarchy and a grand adventure, entitled “Failure”.

Peter Rigaud’s book PORTRAITS will be released on 22/09/08. The photographer presents a selection of his best portraits, which he shot over the past ten years with celebrities such as Dennis Hopper, Roman Polanski and Anna Netrebko. The publication is directly obtainable via his website.

Classics, worn on the streets by the whole of America, made it to the world’s catwalks a while ago. Joachim BALDAUF made this discovery on contemporary America in SZ magazine, which features his work both on the cover and concurrent cover story.

Joachim met up with supermodel Alek Wek for a ST.ÉMILE A/W 08.09 collection shoot. The looks were couture-style 70ies, paired with a gentleman’s touch and athletic-inspired elegance.
