Shotview : new entry Amira FRITZ, Laif Master Workshop, Frank-Walter Steinmeier in STERN, fashion for FHM COLLECTIONS, L’OFFICIEL, ZARA A/W 2010

Amira FRITZ is a new entry at Shotview Photographers. The Berlin-based Parisian began her career just after studying in Vienna, where she swiftly discovered her passion for all things floral on the one hand and everything cinematographic on the other, which feeds into her successful and distinguished style.

Her blurred and gloomy visual worlds are often disrupted by floral elements, be it in the form of a large bouquet and flower arrangements, or by clothes and other elements, which resemble blossoms. Her enchanting works have resulted in prizes, awards and solo exhibitions in Italy, Germany and France, such as the ‘Prix Spécial du Jury’ at the renowned Fashion & Art festival in Hyères.

Her award-winning successes led to rapid demand from the fashion world and soon she started to rake in commissions for a special edition of VOGUE ITALY ‘Ever Manifesto’, curated by Franca Sozzani, SLEEK, various fashion specials of ZEIT magazine and UNDERCURRENT magazine, as well as for fashion labels such as TILLMANN LAUTERBACH and CUNNINGTON & SANDERSON.

From October, the Gallery for Modem Photography in Berlin will present ‘Amira Fritz – Unten Drunter’. The private view is on 7 October, 6pm to 9pm and the exhibition will continue until 4 December.

Laif, agency for photographs & coverage, specialise in photojournalism, magazine and travel photography. Peter RIGAUD reportage and portrait specialist, likewise member of Laif, will run a LAIF MASTERWORKSHOP on the subject of portrait photography. Kozva Riguad, founder and CEO of Shotview Photographers will participate in a discussion with Laif managing partner Peter Bitzer, concerning trends, analytics and market potential, as well as new concepts of marketing photographers and the successful market positioning.

The workshop will take place in Berlin from the 29 to 31 October 2010 - participants need to bring their own camera, notebook and software, a Laif PDF application. The number of places is limited to 12 (the course costs 490€, students get a 50% discount).

After regularly producing for VÖSLAUER, Peter was recently commissioned with a photo story on the hot springs of Vosläu. Peter's pictures of the bathhouse and its guests show why Vöslau is considered the ‘Grande Dame of Austrian outdoor pools’.

Everybody witnessed the tragic story of Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his seriously ill wife. The politician gave her a token of his love and donated one of his kidneys for her lifesaving recovery. STERN consequently dedicated a cover story to him. Due to the importance of the fast timing of the story, the magazine decided to publish a series of pictures, Peter Rigaud had shot with Steinmeier for the magazine last year. He captured a lot of private moments.

Fashion expert Peter GEHRKE has returned with no less than four editorials from the fashion metropolis that is Stockholm. He captured the magic of Morocco for French GRAZIA – Arabic-Oriental fire and temperament, coupled with a seductive girl in perfect poses. He produced the cover of and spread in DK in collaboration with Naomie. He shot a classic denim series with fashion editor Emine Sander for CAFE magazine, Sweden.

For German edition FHM COLLECTIONS, Peter Gehrke and Markus Zietz produced an autumnal and dusky series featuring a gang of ecstatically dancing youngsters, absorbed in a ritual trance.

The L'OFFICIEL agency showcased concentrated Shotview power. Markus PRITZI photographed JUNE Nakamoto’s wonderful styles for an editorial. The concept was ‘Au long court’, which means ‘sooner or later’ and deals with the difficult question of how to deal with the issue of never-ending model legs. Should one rather wear short or long pieces? The common ground of all solutions: Always wear high heels!

Furthermore, GoSee presents a series by Markus PRITZI and stylist Isabelle Thiry, which was published a few months ago in FELD HOMMES. Arthur Daniyarov c/o VIVA was the centre of attention.

In addition to this, Markus PRITZI produced a very successful shoot of the current men’s and women’s casual wear collections for ZARA. The pictures show pieces from the running campaign, artfully composed by Markus, oozing with his usual coolness. Plenty of clients love him for it, which is why he is on the road again, en route to Spain to produce the high street giant’s follow up order.
