DeluxePlus : Marcus Schenkenberg and animal friends in TEASER mag

DeluxePlus carried out the retouch and look for the TEASER cover and two editorials, starring model Marcus Schenkenberg. Martin BAUENDAHL c/o MARION ENSTE-JASPERS was the photographer of choice for the animal themed shoot at Mount Ray Studio Hamburg.

Thomas Meyer was the producer, DIRK Krüger c/o LIGANORD carried out the precise and somewhat crazy styling. Oliver Lang fixed the hair and Alexander Auschill provided the make-up skills.

Alongside the spread, the magazine interviewed the distinguished model and ‘sexiest man alive’:

How do you feel and when did you come to Germany? I flew in from L.A. a week ago, where I had just viewed a couple of beach houses as an investment. I spent the last few days in Rome and had a job for Belstaff, before that, I briefly stayed in Munich for a Quatsch Comedy Club TV production. 2009 was one of the most successful yet stressful years of my career. When you’re visiting over 20 countries per year, some mornings you sometimes have to remind yourself of where you are.

You are the world’s most successful male model. How have you survived the tough model business for over two decades? I am just lucky! My parents brought me up with my feet firmly on the ground and provided me with good genes. Lots of talent goes off the radar in the entertainment business, because they are too superficial, unreliable or not authentic enough. Despite the fact that I have lived in America for almost 20 years, I am proud of my European punctuality and still shock my clients to this very day, who actually always expect me to turn up much later…

In 2009, you headed down a completely new road and are continuously presenting ever more products in your name. Is this the future? The Sky is the Limit! When I turned 40, I happened to bump into my former manager Frank Kuhlmann, who had retired from the model business in 2001. When I told him that I wanted to become an even stronger individual, we immediately realised that we can achieve great things together…
