Basics : A la manera de Newton for EL PAIS, WÜSTENBLUME and the MARSHALL & ALEXANDER album cover

Olaf Martens presents a successful vision with stylist SILVIA Vater and make-up artist WIEBKE Olschewski, both c/o BASICS BERLIN,  for EL PAIS magazine, Spain.

The series is titled "A la manera de Newton" and is of course, a homage to Helmut Newton’s strong women – in clothes for a change.

WÜSTENBLUME, the dramatic fate of Waris Dirie, with the as is known happy ending, has already been a worldwide success, both as a book and now as a film. GABRIELE Binder styled the acting crew to capture the emotional moments in photographs.

ROLAND Brücher was in charge of the styling of MARSHALL & ALEXANDER. The two musicians were photographed by Jim Rakete c/o EYE D. Marshall & Alexander are a German singing duo between classic and pop.

Interesting footnote: Marc Marshall, born 1963, is the son of German traditional folk singer Tony Marshall. In 1998 Marshall and Alexander began a signing career as a duo, “Freunde” is their latest CD.
