NEW : 1st Unit, Munich, represent directors and directors of photography, spots for SKY, HOHES C, TELEKOM, TELE2, ...

1st Unit agency for film creatives is a new entry at GoSee and represents music video and advertising directors, camera operators, costume and set designers, as well as special effect hair and make-up artists.

1st Unit is made up of Elke Apelt and her assistant Melanie Hähnel, who provide their creatives behind the camera with a complete ‘backoffice’. 1st Unit was founded in Munich, 1997 and by doing so established a service concept on the German market, which had already become common practise for other European countries and the USA.

Make-up artist WALDEMAR Pokromski has been nominated for the Deutschen Filmpreis award for his work on ‘The White Ribbon’ feature film. The black and white film by Austrian director Michael Haneke unravels mysterious events in a town in northern Germany just before the outbreak of WWI.

The SFX artist, who teaches at the DEFA-Studios in Babelsberg, has been freelance since the mid ‘70s and has worked on great cinema successes such as Baader-Meinhof Komplex and Perfume.

Pear-quince, apple-blackcurrant or perhaps apple-pear? Choosing a flavour from the new HOHES C juice range certainly won’t be easy. And then how does one go about capturing the ripeness of the ‘home-grown fruit’ in an exciting way? Cameraman Daniel GOTTSCHALK and director Babak Goodarzi managed to find a way of doing so in their ‘harvest time’ spot which introduces the new fruit creations. The film was realised with Deluxe in Majorca.

Daniel GOTTSCHALK also worked as the DOP for the new SKY campaign, starring actor Moritz Bleibtreu. The spot can be viewed on GoSee FILM.

Is your fish not all that fresh anymore? This is the question cameraman Ralf NOACK asked himself whilst realising a spec spot with director Navid Abri and the Markenfilm production company for DEUTSCHE SEE. The wonderfully entertaining commercial clip was presented with the Silver Klappe 2010 Award in the ‘newcomer’ category.
