PICTORION das werk GmbH : 'The Children of Huang Shi' feature film starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers

On 8 October 2009 Roger Spottiswoode’s new film THE CHILDREN OF HUANG SHI, starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Radha Mitchell, Chow Yun Fat and Michelle Yeoh will hit the cinema screens. PICTORION das werk took over the entire post production, from set supervising, to scanning, to grading, on to the 200 VFX shots, lighting and sound editing etc.

Inspired by a true story, Canadian director Roger Spottiswoode (‘James Bond 007 – Tomorrow Never Dies’) unfolds the moving story of a man whose idealism, courage and selflessness still impress today.

The epic love story, in keeping with the tradition of ‘The English Patient’, is set against a grand sprawling landscapes. It is a moving drama about ideals, humanity and self discovery. The film features a star studded cast comprising Jonathan Rhys Meyers (‘Match Point’), Radha Mitchell (‘Melinda and Melinda’), Chow Yun Fat (‘Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End) and Michelle Yeoh (‘Memoirs of a Geisha’). The great epic film was produced by multiple Oscar winners Arthur Cohn (‘Les choristes’), Wieland Schulz-Keil (‘The Innocent),Jonathan Shteinman, Peter Loehr and Martin Hagemann.
