PICTORION das Werk : cooperation with the VFX Alliance and Gründerwerkstatt - initiative for start-ups from the media and creative industries

PICTORION das werk and GRADIENT Effects found the VFX Alliance for the editing of visual effects in the feature film industry. The collaboration provides clients from both businesses with an even more flexible service for the post production of their projects through contact points in Germany and the USA.

The VFX Control Center, which was specially developed for this purpose, enables collections via live stream from all the business’ locations. This puts an end to most geographic limitations, which were previously experienced in the continent-spanning collaboration.

This enables a more efficient editing of visual effects for the international market. In addition to this, they also specialise in the stereoscopy and character animation sectors.

The PICTORION Group businesses have already successfully edited over 200 feature films to date.

Gradient Effects provide an ideal completion through their references and countless developments of innovative tools and software, as well as the pipeline that has been specially developed for the stereoscopic workflow.

With the addition of PICTORION Magma and the Gradient Effects references, the alliance has widened its range of character animation services. The full spectrum covers established animation techniques to the creation of characters in comic style to photo real characters.

Furthermore, the partners profit from the exchange of experienced talents, innovative technology and access to the financial instruments of the various states.

The only exclusions are the group’s direct competitors. The duration of Gründerwerkstatt support is a maximum of two years. The PICTORION Group reserves the right to the option of a minority stake in the member’s business.
