London-based stylist Chrisna de Bruyn was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and began her career in fashion on the sunny shores of Cape Town.
Most notably she has been a major contributor and fashion editor to MIRAGE Magazine since its conception.
Being based between London, Berlin and Cape Town enabled her to style many of the beautiful swimwear and fashion shoots in some of the most beautiful locations in the world, and to refine the distinctive 'endless summer' style which Mirage has become famous (and a little notorious) for.
Chrisna freelances in styling, art directing and consulting editorially, as well as for advertising and design houses. She continues to act as Fashion Editor for MIRAGE Magazine.
Her clients include several iconic European publications including Wallpaper, VMAN, Qvest, Polanski, Centerfold, I love fake, Contributing Editor Magazine, where she has become known for her hedonistic, yet playful and youthful styling.
When we asked her what to do after styling, she coolly replied, ‘one day I could see myself photographing nudes as a hobby!’.
Indeed, Chrisna recently started an on-going project photographing nudes in her new London secret garden. She is hoping to publish the project in autumn next year. In the meantime, we recommend you check out her revealing online mood board callmeblonde.
Her commercial clients include MTV-VIVA, American Apparel, Fila, Levi's, Truimph, Sony Music, Heineken, Tuborg beer, MTS mobile, Lingadore Lingerie, Pepsi Russia, ....
She has collaborated with photographers including Henrik Purienne, Laurence Ellis, Thomas Lohr, Daniel Meuller-brunke, Astrid Solomon, Camilla Armbrust, Petra van Raaij, Kalle Custafsson, Sabine Liewald, Misha Taylor, Marguerite Oelofse, Kristin Vicari, Alexa Singer, Christoph Musiol and many more.
