NEW : Sleek Magazine, Berlin - "for art and fashion" and even currently "for food"
Sleek magazine is new at GoSee. The “for art and fashion” subheading denotes the essential cornerstones of its content, which is comprised of contemporary art, photography and fashion from Berlin. The publication is deliberately independent, which makes it more suitable to tackle the formative trends of the here and now.
With an international variety of both young, as well as established artists, photographers, fashion designer and illustrators, every issue becomes an eclectic and qualitative serving – which takes us to the theme of the current issue: Food. In its most sensual, most inspiring, purest and most essential form.
In editorials and individual contributions, good taste is put in the spotlight and illustrated through series such as “Foodwatch”, “Bodification” and “Feast on Performance”. We have attached a few examples, however, more can be found on Sleek's profile page on GoSee.
Sleek was founded in 2002 by Lothar Eckstein in Hamburg, then relocated to Berlin in 2005. The publication is bilingual, it comes in German and English and is available in eleven other countries, including Japan, Canada and the United States.
Sleek Magazine’s USP: Every fashion spread is produced exclusively and by such illustrious photographers as Karl Lagerfeld, Jürgen Teller or Terry Richardson. Even more peculiar projects find their way into existence: such as in 2006, when Europe's largest LED display on the roof of the Axel Springer skyscraper in Berlin was adorned with “Sleek Public”. International artists develop contributions and show media art in an astounding and unique format.
Due to the fact that Sleek is only available on a quarterly basis, a short stop to the website is guaranteed to pay off and a good source of the one or other creative snack. Bon Appetit !
