Seltmann + Söhne : Portrait photography album out now!
The second issue of ALBEN, this time specialised in the subject of portrait photography has arrived! On a daily basis, art buyers and creatives scan the agencies and publishers for suitable photographers for their respective campaigns and reports. It has always been a tour de force to find the needle in the haystack. Oliver Seltmann, long time AD and CD for S&F Berlin and Red Rabbit, amongst others, is familiar with this problem to a higher extent than he would prefer to be. Thus, a long kept wish hatched to become an idea: All the top notch photographers sorted by topics, in a well arranged fashion. To cut a long story short, that is how the idea for ALBEN emerged, an additional source to be put amongst the lines of established offerings.
The ALBENs are working books for art buyers, are directors, photo editors and advertising customers. They offer a great deal of relief when it comes to searching hand picked and (currently) only German top photographers and their representatives.
Publishers Seltmann & Sons offer working books printed and bound to meet the highest standards in exclusive photo album visuals, sorted into the most varied fields of advertising photography such as cars, lifestyle, portrait, still life and fashion. Additional special publications to round up the categories, for example landscape, architecture, animals, 3D etc. are planned. The various albums are scheduled to be released on a 3-month-cycle. The series was kicked off by the Autoalbum 01 (Car album 01) spot on for the release of Update, the 11th of April 2008.
For ensuring the necessary quality of the photographers does not only stand Oliver Seltmann in his role of this year's ADC jury member, but also a preselected and reduced selection of representatives. Holding up the approved credo class, not mass.
An edition of a thousand albums will be sent, free of charge, to the top art buyers and creative people working at the country's most renowned agency and publishers. In addition to that, the albums can be purchased over national as well as international booksellers and the internet, of course.
