Tout va bien : Happy Birthday BFF

Those were the days. 40 years ago the three TOUT VA BIEN chaps met up for a group picture with models: Walter E. Lautenbacher, Franz Lazi and Ludwig Windstosser.

Their idea back then: to establish a professional association of freelance photographers. Their aim: to strengthen a new generation of photographers who did not see themselves as just craftsmen, but also as creative working artists.

Thus BFF was born (union of freelance photo designers). They celebrated their anniversary in June 2009, in Stuttgart, where it all began. With lots of guests, countless events, lectures and talks. And with an exhibition, demonstrating an unbroken passion for artistic challenges in these digital times, and unstoppable fervour for new visual languages, unusual perspectives, experimental forms of expression. Creativity instead of credit crunch.

Reinhart Wolf is just the right choice for Tout Va Bien's latest portfolio, he is thoroughly in keeping with the aforementioned maxim. A celebrated portrait artist in the 50s, successful advertising photographer in the 70s, and renowned for his delectable food and architecture photography in the 80s, he is practically an eye candy fatcory.
